This year the Westside Urban Forum is proud to award the 2007 Westside Prize to The Small Developer...not to one small developer, but to a distinguished, diverse group of small developers whose work embodies the possibilities of good development.
Using such tools as parks, housing, design and dynamic commercial space, these developers -- and the projects we honor them for -- have demonstrated that even the smallest projects can make entire streets and neighborhoods more vibrant, attractive and welcoming.
This year we also honor Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa with the Westside Urban Forum's inaugural URBAN VISIONARY AWARD for being an advocate and major force for dynamic urban life.
