Democracy is based on voters choosing the candidates. Redistricting is when the candidates choose the voters.
Redistricting is reshaping the political geography of Los Angeles. How will the shifting boundaries enhance or diminish the Westside's stature and influence? Will the proposed 11/6 coastal district create stronger City Hall representation for Westside issues or further the separation between the Westside and the Downtown power brokers?
