The MTA has a new CEO and a new direction. Meet Roger Snoble and hear his plans to address congestion and land use issues on the Westside

What are the root causes of congestion? What are the solutions? Roger Snoble, new CEO of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, is working on this and more. His actions will have a major impact on the Westside. Planned Westside initiatives include:
Improving bus service by creating geographic ?sectors? and improving coordination with municipal bus operators such as Santa Monica and Culver City

Constructing the Exposition Light Rail line

Rebuilding of Santa Monica Boulevard from the 405 to Beverly Hills

Adding bus-only lanes on Wilshire Boulevard to support the highly successful Rapid Bus

Adding carpool lanes on the 405

Focusing on smart growth and joint development
