The Westside Mayors: How the “little guys” get things done…

Fri Apr 18, 2008

In the David and Goliath of regional politics, the Westside's Mayors fight to keep their cities viable, vibrant and unique. In the last decade, Beverly Hills, Culver City, Santa Monica, and West Hollywood have created a buzz with new developments, innovative policies, and forward thinking ideas on how to deal with regional problems, all while bolstering their unique images and enhancing their small town charm. As a result, iconic places such as Rodeo Drive, Sony Pictures Entertainment, the Santa Monica Pier, and the Sunset Strip are represented all over the world as Los Angeles. Yet the leaders of these small cities must balance their success as real contenders in the region, while maintaining their individual identities and commitment to their residents and stakeholders.

Wouldn't you like to know how they do it?

Please join the Westside Urban Forum on Friday, April 18, 2008 at 7:30am to hear the secrets of success, and what's next for these Westside cities.
